Most of today's links are about the Free America protests on Tuesday, January 20. I took a break from my own work at 2:00 p.m. to walk over to a protest being conducted outside a senior center 3 blocks away. About 150 people, mostly older folks, were out with their signs and bells. The response from drivers was not unanimous but was close. Most drivers honked, gave thumbs' up and waved. It was heartening and energizing.
Even better, the coverage I've found shows a real shift: students in high school and college are starting to lead their own protests and walkouts. This is not just a Boomer and Gen X movement anymore. I am so excited to see what's next.
