Pushback 147
Apologies for dropping in on you two days in a row (I try to limit posts to 2/week), but I wanted to share this video from a hearing in the District Court of Rhode Island in a case between the American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE) and the Veterans Administration (VA) which is trying to terminate its collective bargaining agreement with AFGE. They had tried once, were enjoined from doing so, and then "re-terminated" last night, but AFGE was able to get the issue in front of the judge this morning. Even if you aren't a lawyer, the judges remarks are quite satisfying. Enjoy.
If you liked One Battle After Another and/or The Secret Agent, I wrote an essay about them on my Substack discussing what they each teach us about resistance. Check it out here.
Finally, please get out there and march tomorrow!
